ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING
Analysis of traffic using Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of this website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server located in the USA and is stored there. IP anonymization is activated for this website. This means that your IP address is shortened to the last octet. We therefore know from which network a request originates, but not from which computer.
Your IP address will generally be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or the other Contracting States of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to the use of our website and internet usage to the operator of this website.
The IP address sent by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Although you can adjust your browser software to pvent the installation of cookies, we would like to point out that if you do so, you might not be able to make full use of all the functions on this website.
Use of Google Ads Conversion Tracking and Google Tag Manager
We use the online advertising program "Google Ads" on our website and in this context conversion tracking (analysis of the actions of our website's visitors), which was implemented by means of the Google Tag Manager. Google Conversion Tracking and the Google Tag Manager are a service of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA: in the following referred to as "Google"). When you click on an ad placed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is placed on your browser. These cookies have a limited lifetime, do not contain any personal data and are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain sites on our website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we may recognize that you have clicked on the ad and that you have been directed to that site. Each Google Ads client receives a different cookie. As a result, there is no way that cookies can be tracked across the sites of Ads clients. The information collected through the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics. This tells us the total number of users who have clicked on one of our ads and have been directed to a site with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive information that personally identifies users. The processing is based on art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR consent of the data subject.
LinkedIn Insight Tag
This website uses the conversion tool "LinkedIn Insight Tag" of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland ("LinkedIn").
The LinkedIn Insight Tag is a lightweight JavaScript code snippet. It facilitates detailed campaign reporting and provides information about visitors to our website. The LinkedIn Insight Tag enables us to track conversions, retarget our site visitors, and gain additional information about the LinkedIn members who view our ads.
The LinkedIn Insight tag creates a unique LinkedIn browser cookie in a site visitor's browser and enables the collection of the following data for that cookie: metadata such as IP address, timestamp, and page events (e.g., page views). Further information on this can be found here: https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/65521.
The collected data is anonymized (encrypted) for us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by LinkedIn, so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and LinkedIn uses the data for its own (advertising) purposes. Information on data protection at LinkedIn can be found in the LinkedIn data protection information. We cannot influence this use of data as site operator.
LinkedIn members can object to the use of their personal data for the analysis of user behavior along with targeted advertising by LinkedIn by clicking on the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out. Furthermore, LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in the account settings. To disable the linking of data collected on our website by LinkedIn and your LinkedIn account, you must log out of your LinkedIn account before visiting our website.
The use of LinkedIn Insight is based on your consent to the storage of cookies (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a of the German Data Protection Act (DSGVO)).
